Security & Data Handling
Last updated: April 2, 2026
RevisitIQ is built to help small service businesses
send simple recall and follow-up messages without
replacing the systems they already use. Because the
product handles customer contact information and
messaging activity, it's important to explain, in
plain language, how data is handled.
What data RevisitIQ handles
RevisitIQ handles a limited set of data, focused on
what's needed to operate the recall and messaging
workflow:
-
Account information — the name,
email, and business details you provide when you
create an account
-
Uploaded customer data — the
information you import via CSV, typically customer
first names, phone numbers, and service-related
fields like last visit dates or service cycles
-
Messaging activity — records of
messages sent, delivery status, and basic campaign
results
-
Opt-out information — records of
recipients who have opted out of receiving
messages
-
Basic usage data — standard
site and app interaction data used to maintain
and improve the service
How data is used
Data in RevisitIQ is used to:
- Operate the app and provide the service you signed up for
- Support the upload, messaging, and campaign workflow
- Show you message results and delivery information
- Process and honor opt-out requests from recipients
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service
We do not sell your data or your customers' data. We
do not use uploaded customer information for our own
marketing purposes. For full details, see our
Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
Like most modern software, RevisitIQ relies on
third-party providers to operate. These include
services for:
- Hosting and platform infrastructure
- Database and authentication
- SMS and messaging delivery
- Analytics and basic operational tooling
These providers are used to deliver the service and
access data only as needed to perform their functions.
We choose established providers, but we do not
publish a formal vendor audit or certification
process at this time.
Our practical approach to security
RevisitIQ is a small, focused product. Our approach
to security reflects that:
-
Keep it simple. The product is
intentionally limited in scope. We handle the
data needed for recall and follow-up messaging,
not a full CRM's worth of customer information.
Less data complexity means a smaller surface area.
-
Account-based access. Access to
the app requires an authenticated account. Your
data is associated with your account and is not
shared with other users.
-
Opt-out handling is built in.
When a recipient opts out of messages, that
preference is recorded and honored automatically
going forward.
-
Established infrastructure. We
use well-known, modern hosting and service
providers rather than managing our own physical
servers or custom infrastructure.
-
Reasonable safeguards. We take
practical steps to protect data in our systems.
However, no internet-connected service can
promise absolute security, and we do not make
that claim.
Your responsibilities
As a RevisitIQ user, you have important
responsibilities around the data you bring into the
system:
-
You are responsible for the customer data you
upload and for ensuring you have an appropriate
basis to contact those recipients
-
You should only message customers with whom you
have an existing business relationship and who
have not opted out of communications
-
You should review your own legal and compliance
obligations for your business type and
jurisdiction
-
You should not use RevisitIQ for spam, purchased
contact lists, or unauthorized messaging
-
You are responsible for keeping your account
credentials secure
For more detail on messaging responsibilities, see
our SMS Use Policy
and Terms of
Service.
